So after my Sawadi trip yesterday, we hurriedly formed plans to go watch Laaga Chunari Mein Daag.
Due to cancellations after i bought the tickets, we had an extra, so i called a friend to ask if she wanted it.
" Are you crazy, you're actually gonna watch that??", she said," Does the name not tell you what it's like??"
Let me tell you, it surpassed all my expectations.
For one, there was not a single distasteful sex scene, even though the movie was about a Benarasi girl who becomes an escort due to desperation. Instead, it went deeper into the emotional aspect of the thing....
And i now have a new respect for every single 'escort', call girl and sex-worker in this cruel world. For who knows what reasons they have....
No one should have to do this, to put themselves through physical and emotional hell, every single day......
oh dammit just watch the movie, will you?

the name definitely sounds pretty dull though.
It's really been ages since I last watched an Indian movie. I rarely watch Indian movies anyways. Only those which recommended by some friends. I might give this one a shot! :-)
