The End of year/New year post.
I got made Yellow house captain.
I had at least two amazing days on the beach in May.
I went to Manali and lost myself there, in the green and the waterfalls and the clouds and the hills.
I bought at LEAST 11 amazing books in Bombay. And had a LOT of fun. And got a niece!
I went to a Raghu Rai exhibition.
I met my best friend's girl.
I screwed up a few exams.
I got sexy SAT score.
Yellow house won.
I actually started studying.
I had a Christmas Miracle.
And here I sit, typing typing.
All the while hoping and praying the next year's gonna be even better....
Because. In 2009 i will:
Give my Board exams.
Go to mumbai, and then college.
Get my braces removed.
scary. But hopefully it's going to be evrything i wish for and more.
So i'm making resoultions to :
Handle my rage. And the rest of my emotions.
Live in the moment. And be excellent at everything i do.
Stop whining.
Cheers to letting go of the past, cheers to a brilliant '09.
*bottoms up*

And so it begins
No, not the one you do in nightclubs, all sweaty and ecstatic with the press of bodies.....though i wouldn't mind that grind.
No, not the one with the mixer.
I'm doing the grind that you do in 12th grade. Where grind stands for nose to the grindstone and shoulders to the wheel. Where the only thing you're supposed to come in contact with is the books. Not the good ones (though I'm rereading Shantaram at night). Phy-chem-math.
Surprisingly, it feels good. It kinda drives off the nervousness. And it's great doing differentiation, where everything just falls into place.
(contented sigh)
so i'll try and keep coming back here as and when i can, but i don't guarantee i'll have much to say........

unprofessionalism thy name is...........
at least, it is now.
yesterday was great, we took an air arabia flight to sharjah, then by road to Dubai.....
Dubai's quite nice really, at least, Deira is. The last time i was there, I didn't have much time to roam or anything, so i got the feeling we'd be really claustrophobic and cramped, but no, it's all quite open, and there's a Haagen Daz and a Dunkin Donuts right nest to the hotel :)
Went to DCC (Deira City Centre) yesterday and met Ady, my closest friend from grades 1 to 5, and she still seems the same. She's doin humanities and she'll probably get into Xaviers.......
And I met HER friend Ria, who i instantly clicked with.....wow man....I love her.....I actually found myself telling ehr my whole life-story......woww.
Bought a beautiful navy hoodie sweatshirt that says POWER TO THE PEOPLE........
And now I'm kinda sick.
We were supposed to be shooting for this quiz thing today, a preliminary round where we select 2 teams from each country. Bahrain, Oman and Qatar were supposed to finish today.
On schedule: shoot 6 episodes of this quiz series.
we've been here for 7 hours. so far it's just been bahrain, and they just finished shooting their first episode.
i HATE unprofessionalism
and i HATE the standard of questions...
"where would you find arboreal animals" it seems.
huh.
